Abstract

The development of low-cost photovoltaic technology is the current need toward eco-friendly energy sources. The dye-quantum dots and perovskite sensitized solar cells are the most promising low-cost photovoltaic technology. However, the all these devices contain electrolyte, which is heart of these devices. This chapter discusses the importance of the electrolyte with respect to efficiency and stability.
