Abstract
Changes in the microstructure and texture due to cold rolling of sheets from commercial titanium with initial coarse-grained and submicrocrystalline structures are studied. The submicrocrystalline structure is obtained in titanium by uniform severe plastic deformation. The permissible degrees of deformation for rolling of titanium with different grain sizes are determined. The microstructure and mechanical properties of sheets fabricated by rolling at room temperature are studied. Comparative analysis of properties of titanium specimens with submicrocrystalline structure obtained by different methods is performed.
