The invention relates to a double-layer sealing and automatic dewatering sealing device for underwater rotating machinery, which belongs to the field of the underwater rotating machinery. The double-layer sealing and automatic dewatering sealing device is provided with a closed shell and is characterized in that an inner cavity of the closed shell is divided into a unit cabin and a water storage cabin by a partition plate, a unit is installed in the unit cabin, one end of a main shaft of the unit passes through shaft holes on the ends of the partition plate and the shell, a first sealing ring and a second sealing ring are respectively installed in the shaft holes on the ends of the partition plate and the shell, a water pump is installed in the inner cavity of the shell, a water pumping port of the water pump is communicated with the bottom of the water storage cabin, a water outlet of the water pump is communicated with a water discharging hole on the shell, a check valve is installed in the water discharging hole, and a water level induction switch is installed in the water storage cabin and controls the start of a water pump motor. In the invention, for the machinery which works under the water for a long time and has higher maintenance expense, such as a tidal flow turbine generator, a rotary sealing piece can still keep a favorable sealing effect after working for a long time.
