Research output: Book/ReportCommissioned report

Abstract

Domestic violence is a significant problem in Filwood. In a recent survey, Filwood was recently identified as having the highest percentage of responses of all areas in Bristol that state that ‘domestic violence is a private matter’. The aims of this research project are to enhance understanding of the views of local women about domestic violence and about service provision in the area. Ultimately the aim is to understand what would encourage more women to report domestic violence by finding out what types of service local women believe would be more helpful, improve safety and contribute towards decreasing domestic violence.
