Abstract
The coordination geometry at the Mg atom in the title
complex, [MgBrz{(C3Hv)2NH}{(C2Hs)20}], is shown
to be distorted tetrahedral. The presence of a secondary
amine ligand is unusual in its derivation from an amide.
It is also unusual to find both an ether and a simple
amine solvating the same magnesium centre [MgI--N 1
2.158 (3) and Mgl--O1 2.041 (3) A].
