DIAS: adaptive communications for wireless sensor networks

Research output: Contribution to conferencePaper

Abstract

The sensor network is an adaptive system that varies with time, must be able to adapt due to changes in the field. Cross-layer design allows performance gains in specific applications, but there is currently no architecture for WSN communications. This paper presented the advances in transceiver design that will allow for the development of small, low power devices. Smart antennas will provide improvements in range and power requirements, and present challenging cross-layer research opportunities
