Abstract

The new Glasgow Science Centre (GSC) which opened in summer 2001 dedicated a certain area to show exhibits related to current research topics and certain university departments around the country were asked to contribute in their field of experience. Thus we were approached to design and implement an exhibit which explains and demonstrates the benefits of active noise control (ANC). This request was a unique challenge to build an ANC system suitable for public use which makes the advantages of the ANC system clearly perceivable to the “public” user’s ear.
