Destination Marketing: A Case of Nicosia City

Abstract

In the situation of intense competition between regions for the influx of investments and skilled labor, an urgent need to increase the image and investment attractiveness of the region is felt. A huge role here is played by destination marketing, aimed at improving the attractiveness of the specific region, especially for potential customers and tourists, by the formation of unique features that guarantee outstanding competitive qualities of the region. This book focuses on the case of the capital of Cyprus - Nicosia city. Although Nicosia is not a favorite tourist destination in Cyprus, the historical value of the city, with the application of effective destination marketing theory and practice can change the touristic map in the country.
