Abstract
Discusses the fact that the 'law relating to abortion' in Scotland is significantly different from the law in the rest of the United Kingdom and considers the fact that - while the campaign to 'decriminalise' abortion in England and Wales makes sense - it is not entirely clear that the crime of 'procuring abortion' in Scotland actually criminalises women who seek to terminate their own pregnancy.
