Abstract

A novel design and synthesis method for NaYF 4 :Yb 3+ , Tm 3+ upconverting nanoparticle microlasers is demonstrated by using a temperature-controlled self-assembly oil-in-water emulsion technique. The supraparticle acts as both the gain medium and the optical cavity, and has great potential for diverse biomedical applications
