Abstract

It is well known that the global performance of ultrafiltration (UF) is dependent not only on the membrane characteristics but also on the
transport phenomena occurring in the fluid phase adjacent to the membrane. Despite that fact, most of the time the numerous literature on the modelling of the fluid phase mass transfer, does not approach the multicomponent aspects of mass transfer and namely, the effect of salt on the protein diffusion.
