Abstract

This paper sets out the reasons why multi-agent systems are attracting significant research interest for power engineering applications. It intends to provide some definitions for the field, and proposes why the technology is of value to the power engineering industry. It also indicates the technical issues which the authors believe must be addressed in order to accelerate and facilitate the uptake of the technology within the industrial sector
