This book is one of the results of research collaboration on the project Spatial, Environmental, Energy and Social Aspects of Development of Settlements and Climate Change, funded by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia from 01/02/2011 until 31/12/2015. Dr Mila Pucar leads the research team from six research institutions. The project co‐ordinator is the Institute of Architecture and Urban & Spatial Planning of Serbia (IAUS). The project participants are the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Belgrade (AF‐UB), the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the University of Belgrade (GF‐UB), the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Belgrade (ETF‐UB), the Faculty of Sciences and Mathematics of the University of Niš (PMF‐UN), the Institute of Technical Sciences of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (ITN‐SANU). Dr Branka Dimitrijević, Professor at the School of Enginering and Built Environment at Glasgow Caledonian University, collaborates on this project.
