Abstract
On 31 March the Scottish Government published official statistics about children and young people who were 'looked after' by (or in receipt of aftercare services from) Scottish local authorities, over the year from 01 August 2013 to 31 July 2014. These figures confirmed some interesting trends, and pose some interesting questions about how children’s social work practice is changing in Scotland.
