Abstract
Paracetamol of different particle-size ranges was incorporated into
glyceryl monostearate (GMS) granules with the anticipation of producing a
sustained-release oral delivery system from a hot-melt solid dispersion (Habib
2001). Subsequent characterization of these formulations indicated that drug
release was dependent on particle size but not as anticipated by Noyes-Whitney
(Martin et al 1983).
