Abstract

The analogy between the Casimir force acting on two parallel plates in vacuum and a similar force, which is of classical nature, acting on two parallel plates immersed in a turbulent plasma is explored. Like in the vacuum case, the force is attractive in a plasma, but its magnitude depends now on the energy level of the turbulent fluctuations as well as on the type of turbulence. The Casimir interaction between two nearby dust grains is also examined.
