Abstract

The poster presents the project "Bridging the Digital Skills Gap of Records Officers in Zambia in Line with the eGovernance Reform", a collaborative effort of the Unviersity of Strathclyde and the University of Zambia and the progress made within the first six months of implementation. A survey with records officers in Zambia with 71 respondents conducted in July 2024 shows the emerging picture of needs in digital upskilling within the records management professionals in the country. Digitisation started in about 50% of the institutions represented by respondents and training is suggested to be the most essential pre-condition for digitisation, according to the respondents.
