Abstract
The study examines and compares older men‟s attitudes towards and experiences of non-formal and informal learning in Northern Ireland. The study seeks to identify what is attractive, common and different about group settings where older men can learn. It also seeks to find new and better ways of engaging with older men in learning through active community involvement beyond the workplace, especially those not in paid work.
