Abstract
A novel approach to the numerical modeling of pulsed nanosecond optical parametric oscillators (OPOs) is introduced. The model expands upon a recent procedure to consider the case of nondegenerate, singly resonant OPO. The proposed approach is illustrated by studying how various factors, such as, mirror reflectivity, crystal length, duration of the input pump pulse, affect the OPO threshold.
