Abstract

This paper reports on analysis of the characteristics of PD in artificially created voids. Analysis of magnitude and PD waveform is made over the period of time that electrical stress is applied to the voids. Correlation of stress period and PD activity is made. Comparison of the effect of void position in the sample construction, the polymeric material and the PD characteristics are analysed and studied. Also, comparison of PD signals from samples with a single void and with multiple voids is performed experimentally.
