    Abstract

Presentation on the work of the Open Access sub-working group under the CESAER Task Force for Open Science (TFOS) delivered at the Oct 16th, 2019 Open Science Workshop held within the CESAER Annual Meeting 2019 at Université Paris-Saclay. The presentation summarises the many relevant developments in the Open Access domain that have taken place since the previous CESAER Annual Meeting in Bucharest and argues that a comprehensive white paper format is unsuitable for describing such a swiftly evolving landscape. The OA WG has decided instead to put together a series of working papers looking into specific areas of Open Access implementation with an emphasis on the Engineering disciplines whenever possible. The two first WPs the group is currently working on are described, a first one on "Factors that contribute to a successful institutional Open Access implementation" and a second one on "Open Access to conference papers in the Engineering disciplines".
