Abstract
Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) has emerged from the broad area of smart structures to be one of the sectors with an extensive field of application. Now the proceedings of the most recent European conference include not only aerospace and civil engineering applications but also applications in the fields of naval, railway, heavy machinery, and even the automotive industry.
