Abstract

A series of composite lithium- or sodium-magnesium-alkoxide-diisopropylamides of general formula [{MMg[N(Pr-i)(2)](2)OR}(2)] (where M = Li, R = Oct(n); M = Na, R = Bu-n or Oct(n)), has been synthesised rationally by treating synergic amide mixtures with the appropriate alcohol.
