Abstract

Global transportation systems are encountering significant challenges due to accelerated urbanization and the increasing vehicle population. The necessity for innovative solutions has become evident due to congestion, pollution, and inefficiencies in traditional transportation systems. This study delves into the realm of intelligent transportation systems and their contribution to effective traffic management. The article provides a comprehensive overview of the numerous components constituting smart transport networks, including data-driven decision-making, intelligent infrastructure, communication technology, and sustainable practices. It also discusses the advantages, challenges, and potential outcomes of implementing these systems.
