Abstract
The research project "A roadmap for implementing the SDGs using space data" was supported by the Technology and Innovation Centre (TIC) Zone Ideas fund at University of Strathclyde University. The purpose of the project was (1) to explore the current potential of Earth observation for supporting the Essential Climate Variables (ECVs) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) identifying gaps and challenges (2) to map the University of Strathclyde’s capacity in terms of cross-disciplinary sustainability and space expertise, and finally (3) to highlight the University’s strengths to attract future collaborations with external partners toward the implementation of the SDGs using space data.
