A cusp gun Gyro-TWA with helical interaction region

Abstract

A thermionic cusp gun gyro-TWA has been designed and simulated and experiments on a plasma flare cusp gun gyro-TWA have been successfully completed. Based on the highly promising results of both simulations and experiments, the thermionic cusp gun is now under construction and is due to be tested in the near future.
