Abstract

In the modern communication networks, where increasing user demands and advance applications become a challenging task for handling user traffic. Routing protocols have got a significant role not only to route user data across the network but also to reduce congestion with less complexity in networks. Dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF, RIP and EIGRP were introduce to handle different networks with various traffic environments. Each of these protocols have their own routing process which make them different and versatile from the other. The paper will focus on presenting the routing process of each protocol and will develop a constructive output by defending with simulations regarding difference between them. A standard network topology with topological change have been considered in order to analyze that how each protocol converges in various scenarios and how it effects the overall performance of the network.
