Project Details
Description
Our project has a practical focus and aims to create a VCoP, for knowledge exchange. The domain, a ‘Virtual Tour’ of a high-quality Early Years setting, will encourage intentional and systematic knowledge sharing of play-based pedagogy (the practice), for practitioners across Scotland and students from the Strathclyde Institute of Education (the community). ‘The common approaches and shared standards’ (Cassidy et al., 2008) of our VCoP will be set by the Scottish Government through its national practice guidance, Realising the Ambition (2020) and the project team’s ongoing research into young children’s learning and best practice within play-based environments
Key findings
