Project Details

Description

This project investigated the electricity distribution network level power qualtiy impacts of EV charging using lab testing and power systems modelling. The project focused on how smart charging setpoints of reduced power ratings might adversely impact the power quality of the network by operating EV on-board charge points below their rated power. This project was funded from the PNDC member contributed research funds and approved by the PNDC technical board. The project value was: £135,043.
