Project Details

Description

This RCUK funded project will seek to examine, document and analyse the emergence of business models in the 3d printing industries, drawing on a novel inductive and observational methodology for business model taxonomy developed by the PI.

Layman's description

The project aims to make a novel contribution to the extant CREATe-funded research which focuses on the emergence of new business models in various sectors of the creative economy. Our projects adds to the extant CREATe work by shedding new light on 3D Printing and open source digital design technologies, and how these may enable or constrain the emergence of new business models for product customisation.
