Targeting a novel alternative nuclear factor kappa B (NF-kB) axis in an osteosarcoma cell line

Project: Research - Studentship

Project Details

Description

The canonical and non-canonical NF-κB signalling pathways are well established to an extent. However, this project focuses on expanding that knowledge by investigating the intermediates involved in IKKα-dependent signalling mediated by IL-1β stimulation (a canonical NF-κB ligand), resulting in non-canonical NFκB2 (p100) phosphorylation. Additionally, this project aims to investigate the consequences of IL-1β-mediated IKKα signalling on expression of pro-inflammatory genes.
