Description

The International Core Concepts of Pharmacology Education Project was established in 2021. This ambitious global network of pharmacologists aims to transform pharmacology education by helping students and educators to focus on the knowledge that matters. We have already produced a consensus list of core concepts of pharmacology education. We are now working together to develop approaches to teaching and assessing these concepts within transformative and inclusive concept-based curricula. Over 250 pharmacology educators from 21 countries across six continents have contributed to the project to date.

In support of the World Congress in Basic and Clinical Pharmacology meeting (WCP2023) which will take place in Glasgow (SEC) from 2nd to 7th July 2023, the network group have organised an International Union of Pharmacology (IUPHAR) Education Satellite Meeting with support from the British Pharmacological Society.
This will take place on 1st and 2nd July 2023 at University of Strathclyde in Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences (SIPBS).

The program will provide opportunities to meet and network with international colleagues, and engage in workshops, panel discussions, and oral presentations covering a broad range of pharmacology education topics.
