Servicios integrales para diagnóstico de clima laboral en los servicios de salud

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

This project was designed and directed by Kune's director, María Dolores González Aragón, with the aim of evaluating the well-being, gender equality, mental and physical health risks and the work environment at the Secretaría de Salud of Querétaro. In parallel, it assessed the implementation and effectiveness of the MoASMI (for its name in Spanish, Model of Health Services with Inclusive Mechanisms). In my capacity as coordinator of the focus groups, I analysed the qualitative data and wrote an internal report with recommendations and evaluations related to gender perspective, Indigenous inclusion, disability awareness and inclusive language.

Layman's description

This project was created and led by Kune’s director, María Dolores González Aragón, to understand how people working at the Secretaría de Salud in Querétaro are doing (how they feel at work, whether there is gender equality, and what mental or physical health risks they may face). It also looked at how well the MoASMI programme (a model for making health services more inclusive) is working. As the person in charge of the focus groups, I reviewed what participants shared and wrote a report with practical recommendations on gender issues, inclusion of Indigenous peoples, disability awareness, and the use of inclusive language.

Key findings

The working environment needs to significantly improve and reduce risks for health workers in every area. The MoASMI programme has been proven efficient increasing awareness about gender, ethnicity, disability and age; its intersectional approach has been fundamental in reducing social gaps. However, more training is needed, specially regarding age and language.

Notes

All the reports, data and analysis will remain private and used only by the Secretaría de Salud del Estado de Querétaro.
