Primary Language Learning for NQTs

These workshops were aimed at Newly Qualified Teachers across Scotland as part of their input during their probationary year. Input explored the language policy landscape of Scotland and how NQTs can build upon their knowledge of language/s in the primary classroom. We considered pedagogy and ways of introducing and embedding an additional language into the primary curriculum. We looked at how teachers can engage and motivate learners to suit their own level of confidence and linguistic ability.
