Description
Research conducted in 2019 with a community affected by palm oil plantations and related contaminated contributed to a public report on the situation that in turn led to public investigation
Key findings
Despite gaining certification for 'green' production and export, major palm oil companies in Brazil's Amazon contribute to community displacement, violence and contamination of waterways, soils and air with health effects that demand further investigation
