NHS - use of Strathclyde's new placement clinics

Project: Non-funded project

Project Details

Description

Building on the success of the in-house ICAP and StrathLOUD! clinics, I disseminated the clinic resources to NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and NHS Ayrshire and Arran (strategic aim 4.1; KPI 10: strategic relationships). These organisations have agreed to run the ICAP and StrathLOUD! in their clinical environments starting in September 2024, with support from third- and fourth-year students on placement. By adopting this model, these partners will alleviate waiting lists through group therapy sessions and student involvement, deliver evidence-based therapy to clients, enhance the learning experience for our students, and expand their placement capacity (strategic aim 5.1; KPI 15: sustainable development). This initiative will also allow our course to increase its admission capacity and broaden its appeal to international students (KPI 11: international student population).
