New Scotland-wide Placement Evaluation Form

In collaboration with QMU, I developed a new evaluation form for clinical placements in response to PEs’ requests for standardised paperwork across the two HEIs offering the course (strategic aim 5.1). The form aligns with clinical expectations set by the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and the HCPC. It empowers students by incorporating opportunities for self-reflection and active participation in their evaluation, fostering ownership of their clinical development. The form has been well-received by both stakeholders and students, making Scotland the only UK nation with a universal evaluation form for all SLP students (strategic aim 3.1 and 4.1; KPI 15: sustainable development).
