Network analysis of society’s attitudes to actions that may enable UK’s net zero ambition

Project: Internally funded project

Project Details

Description

The UK has committed to becoming a net zero economy by 2050. The magnitude of this target presents a political economy as well as a societal challenge, requiring significant changes in how people live their lives. Our aim is to investigate the response, attitudes and preferences across society to some of the actions that may enable the UK’s transition to net zero. We address current knowledge gaps on informing and preparing society for the potential transitional impacts, with the objective to present a novel and holistic approach that can support policymakers in delivering the transition in a way that is just and fair across society.
