Project Details

Description

The aim of this research is to analyse both the National Express (NE) case study and the Scottish concessionary travel scheme in depth, identifying whether government support is limited to just covering operators’ costs or that it effectively constitutes State Aid.The research offers an insight for public authorities on how government support, despite numerous reviews, is not effectively and efficiently allocating public funds. No previous studies have analysed these subjects, consequently enhancing the originality and validity of this paper for future research.
