Project Details
Description
This project examines the potential for intelligent control of LED lighting using advanced networking technologies. Specifically. Cisco's Universal Power over Ethernet (UPoE) technology is utilised.
Layman's description
Increasingly, LED lighting is replacing conventional lighting systems. These lower power devices can be powered by low voltage sources such as ethernet switches using power over ethernet (PoE) technologies. This presents an opportunity for utilising networking protocols to control the lighting systems also.
