Project Details

Description

The aim of this proposal is to follow the changes in the hydrogen bonding
interaction in the pyrazine:oxalic acid and the Pyrazine:maleic acid co-crystals to complete our combined synchrotron and neutron study of the pyrazine:diacid
system.

Layman's description

Investigation of how materials interact and change as a function of high pressure

Key findings

We observed the compression of the materials and a phase transition to a new polymorph at approximately 1.2 GPa
