InSight explores visual, natural and personal connections between four landmasses which are all visible from each other: South West Scotland, the Isle of Man, Cumbria and Northern Ireland. It is a collaboration between academics and arts practitioners. The theoretical aspects are led by myself and Catriona Mackie, of the Isle of Man College. The project has held one public event to date, supported by Dumfries & Galloway Arts Festival 2017. 'Shoreline Voices', which I co-curated with Julian Watson, brought together four poets from our core areas -- Liz Niven, Stacey Astell, Pete Rafferty and Paul Yates -- and cultural commentators Ruth Taillon, Director of Armagh's Centre for Cross Border Studies, and Brian Irving of Solway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Further events are in development.
