Input for students in primary Initial Teacher Education (ITE)

Project: Internally funded project

Project Details

Description

I designed and delivered training sessions and short courses for Primary ITE students (both undergraduate and PGDE) across Scotland. Input explored the language policy landscape of Scotland and how students can build upon their knowledge of language/s in the primary classroom. We considered pedagogy and ways of introducing and embedding an additional language into the primary curriculum. We looked at how students can engage and motivate learners to suit their own level of confidence and linguistic ability.

These sessions were delivered at the following institutions:

May 2016 – University of Dundee
