Project Details
Description
THED have developed a bicycle saddle that supports a larger area of the posterior of a user and moves in order to accommodate the motion of the legs during the action of cycling. It is recognised that the saddle can be a painful barrier to more widespread cycling activity. Cushioned seats and heavily padded under-garments do not address the dynamic problems that lead to physical damage, contact pressures and painful abrasion. The product aims to increase commitment to cycling for a wider population by removing a known barrier. It will encourage customers to use healthy and environmentally conscious transport thus actively supporting SGD 3, 11 and 13.
