Designed reinforced concrete underground railway stations. Developed automated methods of steel reinforcement design based on post processing FE analysis of the concrete stations with large ventilation and access openings and slabs subject to in and out of plane loading.

Key findings

Automated design was practical and quick. Although computing costs at the time made it quite expensive the client expected the application of advanced analysis techniques.
