Project Details

Description

Principal Investigator at BRE on EU H2020 project – (HIT2GAP.eu) on reducing the gap between the theoretical energy performance of buildings and the actual consumption in use, by focusing on what happens, and on what could be done, while a building is in operation using comparisons of simulation modelling of how it should perform and energy management data plus input from users to assist calibration (Project Value £6m - £325,000 to BRE).

Key findings

Project focussed on narrowing the gap between predicted and actual building energy performance by investigating the relationship between building energy management systes, FM staff and building users and perception of control.
