Description
Access to the tow tank at CNR INSEAN through the MARINET II programme. The aim of the testing was to assess the blade, rotor and drive shaft loading characteristics on a tidal stream turbine when this is subjected to waves and currents using two control strategies.
Notes
Access granted to test 2 weeks (10 days) at the INSEAN Wave Towing Tank (WTT) in Italy. The access is worth approximately £22K.
