Project Details

Description

The company aims to develop a lightweight boot insert to assist skiing instructors and inexperienced skiers to maintain the correct body position by increasing the pressure of the shin against the front of the boot. It is the aim that the product will enable more people to engage with the sport, regardless of physical limitations or previous experience.

Using design for manufacture, materials and manufacturing process expertise, NMIS and SkiWEDGE will develop a robust product design specification, materials and manufacturing process study for a novel lightweight boot insert.
