Development of New Generation of Fault Tolerant Voltage Source Converters for HVDC and FACT applications

This work is conducted in support for Alstom Grid (currently, GE) R&D on VSC-HVDC transmission systems, Stafford, UK, 2009-2010. In this work, I developed all the models and a number of novel modulation and control strategies that allow the proposed converter, which is one of the first reverse blocking converter, and I wrote the final report.
