Layman's description
Vevox is a polling app that can be used during teaching to engage students. I conducted a case study with a cohort of 3rd and 4th year students to evaluate the functionality and effectiveness of Vevox embedded in Microsoft Teams.
Key findings
• 100% of students reported that using the in-session questions helped consolidate their understanding of the material.
• 100% of students reported that the Vevox questions were visually engaging.
• 100% of students reported that the Vevox questions were easy to navigate.
• 89% of students reported being able to easily access the in-session questions.
• 89-94% of students reported that the response options for the in-session questions were accessible (i.e. clearly visible; compatible with device used)
• Free text feedback from students was overwhelmingly positive and suggests that they appreciate and benefit from using Vevox during live sessions.
